This place makes a refreshing change from the other bars around Veronicas and Starco. Why is that you ask? Because this place has gone back to basics and offers cheap drinks, decent music and no 2 for 1 offer price confusion! The price you see is the price you get and the prices are by far the cheapest in the Starco and Veronicas area. PR's usually give you a leaflet advertising the drinks they have on offer and drinks offers do change from time to time. Drinks are mainly premium brands and they have a good selection of bottled drinks as well.
This is one of the newest bars in the Starco Centre and is owned by the same people that own Yates Showbar and Wigan Pier. As you would expect from a Yates style bar, its clean, very nicely decorated and plays some top class tunes. Despite this its never rammed wall to wall with people which does make a refreshing change and because of its small, it doesn't take many people in there to give a pretty decent atmosphere.
The good thing about this place is that it doesn't pretend to be something that it isn't. Its only a very small bar and it doesn't boast a pumping atmosphere but what it does offer is a cheap place to drink in comfortable surroundings while giving you the ability to chat without having to shout. Predominatly there are bar stools running the perimeter of the bar with some lazy sofas towards the far end but you'll have to have your wits about you to get on these.
Music wise you'll hear mainly R'n'B with some funky house thrown in. Its not a party bar and the music isnt so loud you cant hear yourself speak so if your looking for somehwere to start the night then this is a perfect place to do so. The DJ is more of a mix merchant than a personality DJ so you'll not be dragged up on the bar for drinking games in here.
Some negative points about this bar is that its contained on the inside of the Starco Centre and is right opposide the inside bar of Linekers. Linekers is pretty loud and you'll get the music drifting into here if your sitting close to the exit. Because its on the inside its a little difficult to find unless you know its there so if you're struggling make sure you look out for a PR to guide you.
To Conclude: This place is definatly the cheapest place in Veronicas and Starco. This point alone makes it well worth a visit but coupled with a nice level of music and unintruding DJ, its a great place to chill out.
