Another good party bar with some diverse music. Whether you want to dance away to your favorite cheesy classics or sing along to the all time anthems, you will have no complaints about this bar come the end of the night.
A bright and funky decor awaits with the bar lit up in neon blue with hypnotizing lightning disks mounted into the ceiling, a glass brick bar and DJ booth and that?s before you talk about the disco lighting effects and huge TV!
During the day, this bar shows most major sporting events and serves food for your afternoon snacks. But by night turns into a party riot. The drinks are one of the most expensive in the local area but there is always a PR on hand to get you 2 for the price of 1 on your favorite drinks.
the bar is open until 4am and will play anything from classic 70's disco right through to modern day Oasis and Stereophonics to cover all tastes.
If your not in the mood for all this you can sit on the terrace bar and listen to the music from there while watching the hundreds of people float around the Starco complex.
This place is a direct competitor of Linekers Bar and really does give it a run for its money. If not for its drink prices, this bar would be one of the best bars to spend your night. In its defense, people do pay the price for this flash, high tempo bar and there's never a bad word said against the entertainment it provides.

this bar is definately one of the best... i couldnt have enjoyed myself anymore.. the bar staf are just great crack an very entertaining.. from jodie an antoine to kevin the dj... by far a great bar i definately wont forget my time spent at yates... love u guys
First i noticed a big board on display in Yates advertising jugs of different cocktail for a good price, but asking at the bar i was told they dont do the cocktails in jugs anymore at those prices instead i was shown a smaller board with glasses of cocktails 6e each. this is a sale ploy to get you to go in, ie false advertising.
Yates bar wasnt busy compared to the other bars that night infact we were the only 3 in there at the time. we had a drink in there because linekers was packed with 18 to 30s you couldnt move or get to the bar.
Second problem while we were sat in Yates looking bored my friend richard who is disabled and walks with a stick spoke to this lad and asked if there were anymore night spots we should try, was acused of being gay then this lad violently threatened to beat him up, he had richard up agenst the wall with his fist. i asked what was going on and this guy then turned on me. people crowed around and things cooled down after we were told to leave. walking passed the next night we saw the same lad was working there he was a member of satff. not saying all staff are like this but its if they chose what to sell to who at what price and that member of staff would of been done for asult if in england july 12th 2010 10.32pm.
The banter/abuse I got....for a week....solid......but still brilliant bar. I do love the straco's complex. Cant wait to go back. Though may invvest in some sort of surgery....so they don't remember me. Tenerife, May 2010- rocked!

Me and my husband has just got back from Tenerife (18 Oct 09). Best place to go, staff were really friendly especially Zeke, the resident DJ and Hayley. As being disabled the staff took time to chat especially the resident DJ and even help me get up on the bar for a boogy. It was the only place we kept going back to as it had good disabled facilities. Would highly recommend it. They called us Kent couple.
Absoloutly loved this bar, would deffo work there! Staff are fun and wild, love the dj!! Absoloutly hallarious! Went out to Tenerife on the 8th Jule 09 arrived back on early hours of the 16th! Best holiday yet!
i work here in yates, and i love it!!! music suits everybody and there isnt a drink i can think of that we do not serve. im not biased because i spend my nights off here aswell. love it!!!!
this bar is one of the best bars in the reef! the staff are amazing and up for a laugh, the drinks are great especially the amount you get in them and the music is catered for all by the end of the night you'll be dancing to some wicked tunes by dj ben!
If you like cheesy music, friendly staff and lots of games youll love yates. All staff are top in here and the games are funny too. All in all good for dancing and getting invloved
