I have found the Bonanza to be a little bland and average but despite that I haven't anything of any significance to say against it, which leaves it acceptable for a simple holiday base. On the occaisions I have stayed there the directly booked (low season) price has been very good which perhaps reflects what I consider to be the adequate but uninspiring nature of the hotel.
I like the location of the Bonanza on a quiet road but only ten minutes walk into centre of the resort. The advantage of the quiet location is unfortunately partly lost on rooms towards the back of the building because of the dual carriageway that passes right next to the back of the hotel.
The furniture and fittings in the room appeared to be quite new and typical of three star hotels but other aspects of the room let it down, such as a cracked floor tile, chipped enamel in the bath and flaking paint on the window ledge. The wardrobe was small and as ever could have done with some more hangers. The two studio rooms I have stayed in had very little kitchen space, the sink draining board doubled up as the worktop. The cooker in the room was gas which is generally out of favour in holiday apartments for safety reasons these days. The large warning about carbon monoxide and good ventilation makes you even more aware of that, I didn't touch it.
The pool area and sun terrace looks ok but maybe a little small. I've only stayed here in December when the hotel was far from full so I can't say if it feels cramped in the summer months. The hotel bar is quite large.
[Edit] The automatic scoring seems to have overated the Bonanza. I wouldn't say it was a 7.3 on the basis that 5 is ok and 10 is as good as it gets. I think 6.5 is more like it.
