Taxi's and Transportation in Tenerife

Taxi's make a great way to get from A to B and all over the island! You'll have no problems getting a cab to take you anywhere on the island.

Taxi's are relativly cheap and should there be 2 or more of you, can make a more comfortable and quicker transfer choice when travelling from the airport to your hotel. A typical cost for a journey from Renia Sofia Airport (TFS airport code, Tenerife South) to Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos would be between €20 and €30. The distance is about 12 kilometres and the journey takes about 20 to 30 minutes along the TF1 motorway. Its always advisable to ask the driver for a price before you start your journey.

In resort taxi's are plentiful and there are many taxi ranks dotted around the tourist resorts normally with taxi's ready and waiting to take you to your desired destination. If you're not close to a taxi rank or you have a disability making mobility difficult, your hotel reception will be happy to call for a taxi to take you from door to door. All taxi's are government run and as such prices are controlled by an in car meter allowing you to track the cost of your journey en-route.
