Tenerife Uncovered

Daytime in Tenerife can be as relaxing or energetic as you like with plenty to see and do for all ages. Getting out and about is pretty easy with masses of organised excursions and a plentiful supply of Taxi cabs read to take you to your desired location.

If you fancy a lazy day outside of your hotel then there's an abundance of high quality man made beaches as well as some natural black sand beaches to be found all over the island but the majority can be found in the Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos areas. For those wanting to get a bit more active then there's a great go-karting track just on the outskirts of Las Americas which has free transportation and adult and kids karts. Another active attraction is Aqualand which is a fairly large water park with a fantastic dolphin show and is loved by all ages.

New for 2008 is a new Thai themed waterpark called Siam Park. Its been in development for some time and opened to the public in September 2008. If water slides are not your thing but you like a more relaxing approach to water activities then you can always visit Aqua Spa Termal which is a very relaxing spa and health centre.

For the sports enthusiast there's the Las Americas 18 hole golf course which is the largest and best course in the Canary Islands and Spain. The the not so keen golfers you'll also find plenty of crazy golf courses throughout the resorts.

Finally there's the old sport of shopping! There's plenty of places to shop with numerous shopping centre's and plaza's in the main resorts. You'll find anything from designer shops to you typical bucket and spade type shops in most areas as well as some supermarkets for all of your grocery needs.
